THE RIDE DAY AND BIKE GIVEAWAY

Date: Sunday May 4th, 2025

Location: TVMX

Event: Audra's Ride Day - No Limits! -THIS IS AN OPEN RIDE DAY- OPEN TO ANYONE (we will have split practices for the ladies)

THE DETAILS: In loving memory of an extraordinary GRT rider, Audra Dominguez, we're honored to present a special opportunity that carries forward the spirit of one of our inspiring community members.

Audra was a core member of our GRT family who made a lasting impact on our community through her riding and friendships. Her genuine love for motocross and natural ability to connect with fellow riders made her a true asset to our sport and community. In a beautiful testament to her legacy, Audra’s family and close friends have generously donated her bike to GRT. We are beyond excited about the possibilities this brings and the future riders it will impact. The bike is a 2018 CR250F in great condition with a ton of extras. This will be a great bike for a more experienced rider and that is why we want it to go to someone that can use it to its full potential.

🎯 HOW IT WORKS All proceeds from this event will directly support the GRT Bike Basic Lessons (BBL) program, creating a pathway for new women riders to enter the sport Audra loved so much. The BBL program teaches women how to ride. This program is designed specifically for those interested in riding but starting from scratch. With a bike and gear rental included in the lessons, GRT provides an opportunity for participants to learn to ride while helping them to gain fundamental skills and a glimpse into the moto community.

✨ BBL PROGRAM IMPACT The BBL program embodies much of what Audra stood for:

  • Comprehensive training for beginning riders

  • Professional instruction in a safe setting

  • Building confidence both on and off the track

💝 BY PURCHASING A STICKER, you're not just entering to win a bike (or donating your entry to our list of riders) - you're helping to create opportunities for women who dream of riding but haven't yet taken that first step. You're becoming part of Audra's lasting legacy in the motocross community.

A Moto Tribute to Audra

Alongside GRT, Lisa Roth, and the Dominguez Family: Ryland, Gary, Grant and Cindy have SOME BIG PLANS to keep Audra’s passion for riding a part of GRT in the months and years to come.

Audra embraced life with unmatched passion and enthusiasm. An avid downhill mountain biker, she seamlessly transitioned to motocross, quickly making her mark in the racing community. Despite facing challenges with arthritis that sidelined her for years, Audra’s love for riding never waned. In fact, the very year she was taken from us, she found her way back to the sport she adored, reigniting her spark.

I had the privilege of meeting Audra in 2018, just as she was beginning her journey into motocross at a few of the GRT ride nights. Through GRT, racing with RMRA, and riding tracks like Leadville MX on the weekends, Audra shared countless adventures with her moto friends (mainly Lisa ;) ) and family. Riding for fun as well as capturing those exhilarating moments through her own photos.

Audra was a powerhouse—she had been a junior Olympian in gymnastics and was excelling in powerlifting. Yet, among all her accomplishments, it was her adventurous spirit that truly defined her. She was a unique soul who felt out of sync with cookie-cutter lifestyles; instead, she sought the bold and daring, finding freedom in motocross adding to the thrill of the ride.

Some of the pictures in this article are from one unforgettable weekend Audra and her sister, Ryland shared shortly before she passed. Together they went camping in Leadville with moto friends. That trip rekindled Audra’s passion for riding; she reminisced about her time on the track and felt inspired again. She even asked to borrow a bike to experience the feel after some time off due to her battle with Arthritis.

Audra had an incredible ability to embody duality—getting dirty while fixing her bike, yet still feeling beautiful and expressing her distinctive style. She refused to be boxed in; moto was one of her many tools to simply be herself.

“She was unlike anyone I had ever met, constantly searching for her place in the world, yet somehow belonging everywhere at once. Her complexity shone through in her diverse interests—downhill mountain biking, motocross, gymnastics, skateboarding, pit bikes, scooters, powerlifting, sewing, fashion, tattoos, swimming, hiking, and so much more. Audra lived more in her few years than many do in a lifetime.” Lisa Roth explained. Lisa and Audra would often ride together, practicing sections, laughing (mostly at dumb jokes neither of them could hold in), and celebrating their love for the sport.

The iconic image of Audra riding a scooter with her middle finger raised will forever be a symbol of her rebellious spirit and authenticity—her brand, in a way. She might have felt lost at times, but she was always finding new ways to express herself and connect with the world.

Audra’s light may have been extinguished too soon, but her legacy endures in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will always inspire us to embrace our passions and live life to the fullest.
